Ingredients
- For Chocolate Cake
Milkmaid or Any Other Condensed Milk 1 cup
Unsalted Butter at room temperature 3/4 cup
Maida / Refined Flour 1 and 1/2 cup
Unsweetened Cocoa powder 3 tbsp
Baking Soda 3/4 tsp
Baking Powder 1 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Vinegar 1 tsp
Vanilla Extract 3/4 tsp
Warm Milk 3/4 cup, add as required
- For Chocolate Frosting
Unsalted Butter at room temperature 1/2 cup
Unsweetened Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
Powdered Sugar 2 cups
Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
Cold Milk 1/4 cup, add as required
Directions
- For the Chocolate Cake
- In a large mixing bowl, take the condensed milk and butter.
- Beat in one direction till the mixture turns smooth and fluffy.
- Sieve the refined flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt, add to this and fold.
- Add vinegar, vanilla extract and warm milk.
- Mix gently to attain smooth dropping consistency.
- Transfer the cake batter to a greased cake mould.
- Bake the cake at 180 degree celsius for 25 minutes and cool it down completely.
- For the Chocolate Frosting
- In a large mixing bowl, take the butter and beat.
- Add cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and cold milk.
- Beat till the mixture turns smooth and spreadable.
- Spread the mixture evenly on the cake.
Chef’s Twist :-
If you like the flavor of espresso, add 1-3 tsps of espresso depending on how strong you like it, along with the dry ingredients.
